LADIES TO GET TV COVERAGE AT LAKESIDE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

This years BDO World Professional Championships will be televised exclusively by the BBC. There will be live darts every afternoon Monday– Thursday between 1pm and 4.15pm, also a highlights programme every
evening.

The Championship will be available on the
RED Button with both the Ladies and Men’s finals being shown live.

With the World Championships being shown totally on
terrestrial TV more viewers than ever will be able to watch.


The championships starts on Saturday 4th January 2014 at 1pm with 9 Times Ladies World Champion Trina Gulliver MBE taking on Tamara Schuur from the Netherlands which is followed by the Men’s reigning
World Professional Champion Scott Waites beginning
his quest to retain his Lakeside title he plays Alan Norris.

The reigning Ladies World Professional Champion Anastasia Dobromyslova will take to the stage on Sunday Afternoon in a bid to make it 3 Titles in a row but the field has doubled this year to 16 competitors so it will be a hard battle.

The Men’s field has also increased to 40 players which include players from Australia, Canada, Czech Republic, Greece, Japan, Latvia, New Zealand, Republic of Ireland and the United States of America together with Belgium, England, Netherlands, Scotland and Wales.
