Press Release

I am very pleased to announce that the Ladies Darts Organisation will be holding their very FIRST ever Ladies Category C ranked competition in conjunction with the British Darts Organisation.

With the LDO now being officially recognised by the British Darts Organisation, it gives me great please to announce that we will be holding a Friday Night event at the British Open in Bridlington on September 19th.

I am so very thrilled to be able to share this amazing news, that we have BDO Invitation Points CAT C.

I also know that ladies would have dearly loved to have been able to be awarded Invitation Points for this years ladies classic, but unfortunately this simply isn't possible this year. The Scotland Classic was given the points; as although we booked the date last year for the Ladies Classic, we wasn't officially recognised as an official organisation until May 11th this year.

I would like to wish all the ladies that enter the Scottish Classic the very best of luck from all at the LDO.

BUT however, there is always a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, Next years Ladies Classic - held on August 29th 2015 has now been officially given BDO Invitation Points - and will be a CAT B event (£2,240 prize fund)

I want to personally thank Sue Getty Williams and all on the BDO Committee for the support they have given us. And also thank our own committee my husband Gordon Lambie Paula and Dez Kane Stiffler Jacklin, Liz Fletcher-Wright Jude Johnson and Karen Staton and Pam Sheppard for helping us to achieve what we have.

All finer details of the new event (yet to decide a name for it) will be announced very soon. But there will be a minimum total prize fund of £1000.

Entries will be available on the LDO website for the British Open event.

We will also be looking for event sponsors for all our events, so if you can help in anyway, please do get in touch

Once again many thanks to you all, the players, the supporters the committee from the BDO and LDO.

Many thanks

Julie Lambie

CEO of the Ladies Darts Organisation
