a big thankyou to all the 73 ladies that entered our Friday Night event at the England Open.

Once again we held a very successful event just for you ladies. This is always a nervous time for the LDO, and I think sometimes are we going to have enough ladies enter to make it a great event, and once again, my nerves are overshadowed from the tremendous support we receive.

I am always in awe of you fantastic ladies, and it is such a pleasure to meet new faces, put names to faces lol, and meet total strangers who come up and thank us all at the LDO.

I would like to thank my husband, Gordon Lambie, Liz Fletcher-Wright, Tony Reeves for their valued help on the top table, and to our LDO committee, Paula, Dez Kane Stiffler Jacklin Jude Johnson and Karen Staton for promoting this event.

A big thankyou to all the committee from the England Darts Organisation - EDO for helping us to run another successful event at the England Open. It is such a pleasure to be involved with a great event.

Also a big thankyou to the staff at Bunn Leisure - West Sands who are so very professional and cetainly know how to entertain us all, a special thanks to Margaret, such a lovely lady.

We took some more new members on the night, thanks to Liz pestering you all, well done liz, as this is what helps us to pay for the prize money for our competitions.(will update very soon)

But i do think the biggest thanks goes to you the players, for once again making our event a success.

Thankyou to our sponsors Ray Hammond of CPL Graphics who makes our shirt patches, and to an Ian Ness of Star Sports Events, who is running the Fun in the Sun Event with Bob Anderson Darts (hope your all entering)

If I have missed anyone out, my sincerest apologies,

Sorry for the lack of updates, but my internet simply wouldnt connect

Well done to the Champion of the Ladies Festival of Darts Aileen de Graaf and how you manage to play like you do with a tiny baby and make time to practise amazes me.

Also well done to the Ladies Festival of Darts runner Up Deta Hedman, a truly out-standing player, who has such grace on the stage, (Im sure you were a model in your younger years), and one day you will be holding the Lakeside Trophy,

Well done to both Ladies, We salute you.

So just to say thanks once again, to you the players, the sponsors, the supporters our committee and our friends.

Julie xx
