Congratulations to Lisa Ashton who is the ladies winner of our first cat c event held at the British open.

Lisa played against deta in the final with the result being 4-2

Great averages from both ladies deta with a 24+ and Lisa with a 27+ average. well done to both ladies. Two super players.

A couple of lessons learnt from last night. We started at 8 to allow ladies time to get here as a lot of you lovely ladies couldn't make an early start. And in all said and done we're here for you. But a few boards were running slow. Which held up the later stages up. The whole event was done in 4 hours. So had we started at 7 we would have finished at 11. When we played our events at the ENGLAND OPEN these were also over and done with in 4 hours, but, we didnt play any finals on the same night, these were played on the sunday, so we actually played more rounds on the friday evening at the British Open, So in hindsight, we ACTUALLY finished quicker

But as I said a few things learnt x

I would like to thank the crew in the bdo. They made sure we were looked after. Kept us informed and were there with help and support all the time. Just fantastic. And thank you for the opportunity to be part of your event. A great honour .

Thank you to all the 72 ladies that took part and it's such a pleasure to meet new faces . I do get nervous but I am also so excited when our success continues.

Jude Johnson had her first official duty on stage at such a prestigious event and hopefully we will see some highlights of last night's final on Sunday on euro sport 2

Thanking my husband Gordon Lambie who is now a recognised face in the LDO

Thank you to you all

Love julie xx
