I started playing darts about eight years ago when a bunch of friends of mine thought it would be fun thing to do on Thursday nights. I became a player to the team but did not become an active member of the team because I felt I needed to know how to play the games first. My start into darts was rough but had great people who told me how to play the games, posture and coordination. I advanced rather quickly in my abilities and two years later I grew from being in a "B" Conference team to an "A" Conference team, going against some of the best players in my area.
A little over two years ago, I competed in my very first ADO sanctioned dart tournament. The first event was rough playing with two of my guy friends in a Mix Triples event and getting knocked out first round. The second event of the day was Women's Singles Cricket where I had a shakey start but ended up in 2nd Place. The final event of the day was a Blind Draw where I was paired up with Todd Bumgarner. We took it all the way into the finals and ended up splitting the final prize. Since then, I have been hooked on playing, competing and improving.
I currently am on endevours to promote more women into playing and competing. I have been working with Atlantis Dart Club and RedEye Rhino in more recognition to the "ladies" of darts.
